This has been my checklist for the last couple days. (And for the past few months, really.)
:)
There are so many beautiful moments in my days. So many moments I want to keep forever- things I want Logan to read about one day. And when this happened today, it was like the last straw- I knew I had to start recording these things again:
Elders Mackley and Huguley stopped by today to thank us for having them for dinner last Sunday. They are so sweet with Logan and he has really warmed up to them. On Sunday they watched Logan sign more as he stuffed himself plate after plate- 4 times. They told me today that is now an inside joke for them to sign that to each other at dinner. Love it. :) We have had them in our home several times and I will miss them when they move on. It's probably because I am now a mother to a son that I've developed such tender admiration for them and missionaries everywhere. I wrote their mothers after our dinner Sunday because I just had to share with them what a wonderful job their boys (who I'm sure they're missing like crazy) were doing.
Logan gave them lots of high fives today.
We had a nice chat about who they were teaching and then they offered to say a prayer before they left.
I'm grateful for that little tender mercy and the spirit I felt as we all folded our arms (Yep, even Logan) at our front door .
I'm grateful to be raising a future missionary.
* * *
And. if I may, I'd like to share my ordinary, yet productive day that I'm kinda proud of:
- Did all our laundry
-Made a productive Target run where I got supplies to complete our First Aid kit and Emergency kit
-Enjoyed leftovers of a dinner that Jeff looooved.
- Got Logan to eat all PLUS seconds of his veggies at dinner by making an airplane with each bite...
And there ya have it...
;)
