Pregnancy Diary: The Nursery

I arrived to work my last day on Saturday and found this:

(Thanks Irene!)

By the time I left work 2 hours early- walking was becoming a struggle. Braxtons were strong and plenty. They sent me off with well wishes and hugs (and cake)! They are such a sweet bunch of ladies.

Today I saw Dr. Calvert for my 39 week check up. Her report: 90% effaced and 2-3 centimeters dilated. Wahoo! I told her about the night before of back pain, tummy aches and cramps and she predicted I would go into labor on my own within a couple of days. Because she noticed how bumpy my tummy was during contractions- and also because my tummy was been measuring quite small again- she ordered an ultrasound for tomorrow to make sure he has enough fluid around him and to make sure he has grown properly. After a mini in-office ultrasound she estimated him to be about 6 lb 3 oz. My belly and back are sore from increasing contractions which means we are that much closer. :)

I can't wait to bring our baby boy home to his room:

(I came home from the hospital as a baby with this little bear.)

Banners and tissue balls courtesy of the Martha's that threw my baby shower. :)
