Hau'oli

'Joy, Happy.'
Jeff always beams when he talks about his college days in Hawaii, so it was fun to experience a little bit of that Hawaiian spirit with him at our ward's Luau recently. We sat on our little blanket, ate pig and watched polynesian dancers. It was great. All that was missing, as Jeff pointed out, were palm trees. Having never been to Hawaii, I can definitely see why he can't wait to go back. The food is unbelieveable, the culture is beautiful, the people are so happy...what's not to love? We had fun and I loved seeing a little more into that part of his past.
We were called to the activities committee when we moved into this ward and were assigned to help make a script to read in between dances. I learned all about the first missionaries that taught in Hawaii and their dedication to spreading the gospel. It really is something to celebrate!

This little piggy...tasted pretty darn good!

(Left) How cute are the little ones?! (Right) So pretty!
On the right are some of the kids from our sunday school class doing the haka. Look at the intensity!
