5-Month-Old Logan

At 5 months Logan is silly, talkative, playful, energetic, and curious.
His big milestone this month = rolling from tummy to back on November 9th. :)
We are discovering how much our hearts swell up when these little (big) things happen.
There really is no joy like this.
I am grateful for the sweet moments that fill my days now- things like walking past his nursery, folding tiny clothes from the dryer and looking at our sleeping baby in the video monitor.
He makes us so, so, so, so...

SO happy...

Logan: 4 Months

Little Logan had his 4-month check up today-
weighing in at 12.67 lbs and 25.5 inches long.
75th percentile for height,
10th percentile for weight
=
One tall skinny boy!

He had so much energy for the doctor today. We wiggled, kicked, talked and tried to roll.
Look what I can do!
The Doctor laughed and said he had no concerns whatsoever about his development and said he would be tired after watching him for very long. To that I just laughed and agreed. :)
We were given a clean bill of health and his second round of shots.

He has been a very busy boy this month. Month 3 to 4 has been so much fun. This past month his eyes have opened wide and he is taking it all in. He:
- Found his voice- he is loud! It comes with facial expressions that crack us up everyday.
- Discovered his hands. He holds them up in front of his face and rotates them looking fascinated.
-Started reaching for my face. He loves it when I "eat" his hands.
- Loves to lift his feet in the air and has grabbed them once or twice.
- Has started sleeping for 8 hours at night!

From this month...

Happy Halloween 2012 & Fall Recipes

(You're right- the pumpkin on the left IS Daisy!...)
The Holidays are going to be so fun this year with Logan. I am so excited! He makes everything happier.
This year we brought our little pumpkin to Hunter's Pumpkin Patch to find one just his size. He sucked on his binky and had a great time.
This Halloween consisted of Logan and I handing out candy while trying to contain the barking hot dog Pug at my feet every time the doorbell rang. We watched Hocus Pocus in between. (That's about as scary as this lady goes.) The Mr. worked the evening away but we saved him some chocolate.

Looking for something new for dinner? I always am. Here are some of my favorite FALL recipes:

Thanks to Heidi for introducing me to this food blog and this particular recipe. Takes a little more time to make but is soooooo yummy. Heat up some rolls, make a salad. Yum, yum, yum.

This sounds and tastes so fancy, but is actually pretty easy to make. Nik made this one last time I was over and it is now one of my faves. You can use any chicken parts but I liked it best when Nik used thighs.

Mom's Easy Croc Pot Pork Chops
4-5 Large Boneless Pork Chops
2 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1/2 Cup Ketchup
5 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Medium Onion (Optional)

1. Mix Chicken soup, Ketchup and Worc. Sauce in a bowl. Set aside
2. Salt and Pepper the pork chops and brown all sides in a pan.
3. Lay Pork chops in bottom of croc pot, top with the soup mixture and the sliced onion.
4. Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
This makes enough sauce to use as gravy. So mashed potatoes are a must. Mmm.
