We are in our third trimester. Wow. (Deep breath...potty break...snack...) Okay, I'm back.
I am typing this with heavy, tired eyes. I am a sleepy lady these days. I had to laugh that it just took me an entire weekend to make it through a Mission Impossible movie. On my third and final attempt I sat strait up and kept all the lights on. Mission...accomplished.
We had the hottest day of the year today and it reminded us that summer time is fast approaching, meaning so is baby time.
Since my last post:
- We had a very lovely Easter Sunday at the Rice's. Highlight for me (besides Martha's beans): the music. First I relaxed on the balcony while Aunt Carol played the harp. It was so beautiful and so soothing. Then Grandma-to-be played the piano to see if we could get a kick or two. She played Families Can be together Forever and I again felt immense gratitude as I sang the lyrics in my head: I have a family here on earth, they are so good to me. He cooperated and kicked for Grandma afterward. One of those tender mercies indeed.
-Braxton Hicks contractions are frequent. I do like to be prepared, but my body is practicing a lot.
- I am growing upward and downward, and baby boy is kicking in every direction possible.
- At last week's appointment the Doc said my uterus is a little behind growth-wise, so we get to see our little one at an ultrasound this week while they check him out and make sure he's progressing alright. Just a little small! (Hmm, I should have told this to the lady who gasped and asked if I was having twins last week... )
I am uncomfortable and sleepy...but more grateful than anything.
And have I mentioned lately how much I love this little guy's daddy? Lots. I am a lucky lady. Until next time...
