Pregnancy Diary: 6 months!

This last Monday morning I woke up to the realization that I was 6 months pregnant. Pretty exciting, if you ask me. :) Please excuse the messy hair and sweats photoshoot- My replacement camera charger just arrived in the mail and I couldn't wait a day longer to get a shot in the books. This little boy has been busy growing the last month and a half- and I have the belly to prove it! I am so enjoying this stage of pregnancy. No more sickness, not (too) uncomfortable yet, just fun. Oh yes, I have about every symptom in the book. There are mornings where I can't seem to catch my breath and the occasional crying outbursts, OH- and the fact that my brain seems to be on vacation these days. (Have you seen my keys...?) But it is all so very worth it during my favorite part of the day when I cozy up in bed at night, flip up my shirt and talk to my tummy while it kicks back. Not only can I feel him moving, we can SEE it! We have ourselves a strong little guy. :) He finally cooperated for his Daddy this week too. Jeff felt him kick for the first time on Wednesday while we were lounging on the couch.

A few other pregnancy tid-bits:

- I am right on track with weight-gain. Wahoo!

- Cravings: The favorite snack these days-Chips and salsa. I can't get enough! For the past week and a half my lunch has been a spring mix salad with chicken, craisins, walnuts and cheese. Mmmhmmm.

- We don' t have a clue what we are naming this little guy.

Last week Jeff was in DC visiting the guys, so I wanted to see how much I could get done while he was gone. I managed to: Find, buy, and set up an awesome second-hand crib; lock myself out of the car; buy an awesome second-hand stroller/carseat set; lose my keys at my parents' house; go maternity clothes shopping with mama Rice; throw an awesome event at work; hang a few things on the walls of the house and spend some time with my mom and sisters. I was pretty wiped out, but it felt good, especially when I stood back from this project and saw the start of his nursery coming together:

Up next: Registering and birthing classes. :)
