It's Sunday, we're a little tired, it's raining outside...I think I will relax with a couple of Jeff's chocolate chip cookies and do some bloggin'. It has been a very enjoyable slow weekend. Yesterday I went over to our Relief Society birthday celebration at the church to donate blood. I had several high-five moments in my head during the process because thanks to school, I saw a medical term and knew what it meant- or got my vitals and hematocrit recorded and was able to think about how they compared to normal lab values. It was actually pretty fun. AND I had a chat with a sweet lady that may have a job lead for me...HIGH-FIVE!

When it comes to parents, we lucked out. They are awesome, all 4 of 'em. We had some memorable dinner dates recently, which left me thinking about that.
A few weeks ago we met Jeff's parents at the Northshore clubhouse for dinner. I'm pretty sure Mick is their #1 customer. That night it was just us 4 in the corner booth, eating yummy steaks and burgers and chatting about life. It was fun to see where Jeff goes on his outings with his Dad. After dinner Jeff and his Dad went off to the hockey game, and Joanne and I headed home to watch the latest Twilight movie after a little grocery shopping. Due to a crazy crowd at the game, the guys came home early, and Jeff got to wonder out loud with Grandma what the heck we were watching. I'm so glad Joanne enjoys those cheesy vampire movies along with me!
Mom and Dad came this way for the first dish in my new Martha Stewart cast iron pot- Ham and vegetable soup. My Dad shares my hobby of cooking- and love of new and pretty cooking accessories. :) Dinner was a success and Dad topped it off with his famous apple crisp. We ended the night by going to see True Grit. Jeff the movie critic gave it 2 thumbs up and Mom and Dad laughed the whole way through. We had a blast on our double date and can't wait for the next one...

We look forward to seeing 'our kids' (our class of 17 year olds) in Sunday school each week. I think sometimes they teach us more than we teach them. And I love listening to Jeff bear his testimony of the gospel as he tells of his missionary experiences and lessons he has learned. It has been a wonderful experience and has once again strengthened my testimony that our Heavenly Father really is in control of everything and knows what is best for us.
It will be a great week. I am studying for my transcription final, and Jeff's friend
Botown is coming to visit. Happy Sunday!
