Rod Lavers

(Fancy shoes.)

I remember our last fast Sunday in the Mirror Lake singles branch pretty well. We each stood to bear our testimonies and to express our gratitude for what we had learned there. I know we were both so excited to start our new lives together and were on a sort of spiritual and happy high.
I also remember before the meeting ended our branch President, President Alsup, stood to say a few words and teased Jeff asking, "So Lindsey, are you going to get Jeff in some real shoes for the wedding?"
We both got a good laugh out of this, as Jeff has been perfectly happy in his tan corduroys and brown Rod Lavers each Sunday for quite some time- and this is exactly how I found and fell madly in love with my sweet husband.

But today, as he was putting on some new church clothes he got for Christmas, I think there were some opposing forces trying to stop the change from happening...

First, a billion tags needed to be removed. Then there was something in the back pocket. One of those needle/ink things. Thank goodness it was not attached= pants still good to go. THEN Jeff noticed some "Velcro...or something" in the pants. It was in fact Velcro- someone in the military with the last name Forte is missing his or her name tag:

We were laughing with each other at this point- this was turning out to be one complicated process.
In the end, I was holding hands with one handsome guy at church.

And I snuck a picture.
I hope I didn't embarrass you too much. Please forgive me. :) I love you. xoxo

Feelin' Good

What is it about getting a new do that makes a girl feel like she can take on the world? I don't know, but I am feelin that feeling.
(Ooh I like this idea- Anytime I need a little umph, go get pampered...What do you say honey?!)
-
I stayed the night at Jess and Danny's last night to be closer to my hair appointment and got in some good snuggle time with Tay and Maddy this morning. I was so hoping their school would be canceled due to the snow outside, and it was. So we got to lounge in our PJs while they showed me all the cool stuff on their i-touch. They are so savvy, those girls.
-
Life has been quite routine the last month and a half- work, sleep...hence the lack of entries. I'm anxious to get back to part-time work... and full-time wife privileges.
-
Lately in any moments of frustration, a certain talk has popped into my head-
It's a great one. :)
Life's full of joy.
Looking forward to sleepin at home tonight. :)
