I remember when Jeff and I were engaged, Joanna (Jeff's sis) asked me with a grin, "Are you ready to be a tennis wife?" I scoffed and said, "of course!!" I now know what she meant! A tennis player (at least my Jeff) has so much passion for the sport. It is one of the few that are year-round, so we are usually keeping up with the scores from the tournament on TV, actually visiting a pro tournament OR...Jeff is playing in one himself. That last one is definitely my fav. :) Every July Jeff and his brother Chris play in the PNW Open at Tacoma Lawn Tennis Club. It is so fun- I love going and soaking up the atmosphere. There's a pool there, so I'm always taken back to my swim team days. I remember walking around looking goofy in a swim cap in between (losing) events. (Teehee) Whenever a match doesn't work out in Jeff's favor I try to pick him up a little by telling him that I cannot recall a swimming event that I won- ever. Sad, I know, but I had a blast picking up the 'Most Dedicated' trophy every year. Back to Tennis- It is a pretty club with outdoor courts. Luckily, Jeff found someone to marry that loves to watch him play just as much as he loves to play! I could sit out in the sun and watch him all day. He always says that he wishes I could have seen him play in his better days during High School and College, but I think he's still pretty amazin'! I can't wait to take our little guys here one day to cheer on daddy. Here are a few shots from this year.

Auntie and Uncle
Since we got the house, our nieces Taylor and Maddy have been promised a sleepover to try out the "fort area" under the stairs. Jess brought them to meet me at work for the ride to Lacey and they were such troopers during the traffic that kept us in the car for an hour and a half. The Air show was right outside our window though, so we couldn't complain too much! They found ways to entertain themselves (rocking out to the Carrie Underwood with Auntie, drawing funny pictures on the bottom of their feet and showing them to me in the rear view mirror...) and I sat in the driver's seat smiling and listening to their contagious giggles.
What is a good sleepover without a yummy dinner and desert? We tried making pizzas on the BBQ and it was a success! Mmm, I can taste them now...
Uncle Jeff showed off his moves! The 'Just Dance' wii game not only gives the dancers a workout, but also the observers who are holding their stomachs and laughing hysterically.
On our trip to the park, Jeff made a friend, Caesar, who taught him some sweet bike tricks and told him all about his bike wreck scars.
We forgot to take pictures of our fort which Taylor crawled into and slept the whole night. Maddy and I ended up sleeping on an air mattress in the living room after watching Shrek 2 and eating s'mores. In their kidding around with Jeff, he asked if it was the best day of their lives- we all decided that everyday could be the best day of our life. We have so much fun being Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Jeff. They made us laugh the whole night and we love being able to host these things now. Love ya girls!
